(D) Question 5 Who is sleep apnea most common in? A. men. women. children. animals As you can see for this question, that people were pretty much in the loop for knowing this information. The majority of the people chose A, because they knew that it was more common in men than women, because of their genetic makeup.
A few people chose answer B, because they weren’t very informed about the danger in different genders. For answer C, that was pretty much self explanatory, because if a child has sleep apnea, it will be diagnosed very early and treated. (C) For the last answer, I just threw in a crazy answer to see if people were actually paying attention to this survey, and sure enough answer D was not chosen. Question 6 How many Americans suffer from sleep apnea? A. 5 million. 3 million.
10 million. 12 million For this question, I gathered that people just guessed, because if you were an average American, why would you want to know how many people have sleep apnea, just a thought. For answer A, only about 2 people chose that answer. Answer B, only 2.

Answer B, I find hard to believe, because almost everyone snores for one reason or another, I believe for this question, people were just embarrassed. Answer C, same for this question, embarrassment was present.
Answer D, I could agree with this one, if you are a sound sleeper. Regardless, this question was kinda uninformative. Question 8 What causes sleep apnea? A. obesity B.
stuffy no seC. high blood pressureD. both a & c This question involves what people know about sleep apnea. I enjoyed this question because some people had no clue, and others knew some information about it. Answer A, is a cause of sleep apnea, but not the main striker. Answer B, I put that crazy answer in there to see if people would actually go for it, and sure enough they did, but it was not correct.
Answer C, is also a cause, but not the main answer. Answer D, is the correct answer and the majority of people chose this one. Question 9 Do you know how to get your sleep apnea diagnosed? A. talk to your doctor. do a study yourself. talk to your friends.
don’t worry about it For this question as you can see everyone that I surveyed chose answer A, because who is honestly going to do the other answers. Possibly a scientist for answer B, but not for the other answers. This survey was fun, and very interesting to do because you learn how much people actually know about a deadly disease, and that they are even more informed than before.
