America’s Role In The Next Century Essay, America’s Role In The Next Century The people of America live in a country founded by our ancestors hundreds of years ago. The very many people who have fought to make America a free country are what give us the ability to make innovations, discoveries, and explorations. For many years, the U. S.
has been an extraordinary economical power. We have been in a position where we could financially do anything we wanted. This financial power has given us a very strong military, technology for space exploration, and very intelligent scientists. In the next century, America will make advancements in science, physics, and military technology. I believe that America will better this world in five ways. First, the U.
S. will use its great military strength to keep world peace, as it has done for so many years. America will be responsible for keeping evil people from killing innocent people for any reason. We will use the newest technologies and vehicles in our fight for peace.
Second, just as in the 1600 s, when the Europeans explored the New World, the U. S. will explore outer space and Mars. Plans for Mars s colonization are already in progress.
In the next century, America will use these plans and NASA will send an exploration team to Mars. By starting a new colony, in the next century many people will visit Mars, or even settle there. Advances in computer technologies will make all of these things possible. Third, the role of creating new computer chips and other hardware will be that of the big companies that lay in the United States. Companies such as Intel, AMD, and Macintosh will be responsible for creating the new processing chips needed. As computers get faster, they can perform more operations per second.
These faster computers will allow users in the home to use advanced programs and multitask. Newer faster computers and high-speed Internet access provided by American companies will provide the world with infinite technological capabilities. I believe that faster computers and high-speed Internet access will provide the people of the world an infinite source of knowledge. This infinite source of knowledge will be helpful for the students in K-12 and college. Having a great source of knowledge and allowing people to access it, the Internet will be a revolution for everyone trying to learn something. You could discover many things using the Internet that would not be possible by going to the library.
Most American companies have taken advantage of the Internet and have made it useful for their customers. Many companies will use the Internet for customer service and sales The fourth role America will take is to make new discoveries in medical science, and genetics. Every year new medicines are produced to help the sick people of the world. The intelligent scientists that work for American companies will keep trying to find cures for AIDS and other incurable diseases. The advancements in genetics might be the hope for many people with genetic diseases. The human genome project, which has started to categorize all of the genes in DNA, will be the base of all genetic advancements.
Once the genes have been discovered, in the future, we will use our knowledge of genes to find ways of treating seemingly untreatable genetic diseases. The final role will be that of making new discoveries and making new inventions. Just as in the past centuries, Americans will make new discoveries and inventions that will hopefully better the world for all of us. There will always be something worth discovering and inventing, so we cannot limit ourselves to the ways we do things now. A new product may revolutionize the way we do things, just as the personal digital assistant has done for many of us. For many centuries into the future, America will play a major role in the advancement of human society.
It may be in astronomy, computers, medicine, biology, or military. As we have been doing for so many years, we shall do for many years to come.
